Customization — four ways

All four combine. Omit anything → package default.

CaseWhereWhat it does
1ui.conversationList, ui.chatRoom.*, ui.chatInfoFlags & copy — show / hide controls, change titles, labels, icons, placeholder
2ui.stylesStyles — merge React Native ViewStyle / TextStyle onto built-in regions
3ui.componentsComponent slots — replace one built-in component (same props)
4ChatProvider render propsRender props — render your own list row, list, room header, composer or message

Set them in configureChat({...}) or in ChatProvider config. To change only UI at runtime (no session side effects) use updateChatUiConfig({ ui, showSearch, showVideoCall, showVoiceCall }).

Note

Backend admin settings can still hide or disable features regardless of these flags (threads, attachments, canvas, calls, …) — see Permissions & access control.
