Every module, from live analytics and moderation to roles, settings and your API key, recorded in the real dashboard.
01The suite
Everything you need to ship chat, in five pieces.
Use one, or use them all - they share the same users, conversations and rules.
Web SDK
A complete chat experience in one component - conversations, groups, threads and calls - that you can theme, re-skin or rebuild piece by piece with hooks.
Mobile SDK
Native-feeling chat on iOS and Android.
Desktop App
Your chat as a desktop app.
Chat API
REST and WebSockets for anything custom.
Admin Dashboard
Run your community from one console.

}03How it fits together
Build it, connect it, run it.
The products cover the whole life of your chat - from the first install to the day-to-day.
- 01
Build
Add chat to your web, mobile or desktop app with an SDK - or design your own UI on the API.
- 02
Connect
Your backend creates users and groups with the API key; live events flow over WebSockets.
- 03
Operate
Watch activity, moderate, tune limits and invite your team from the dashboard.
04Included in every product
The hard parts, already handled.
These come with the platform - whichever product you start with.
Real-time by default
Messages, typing, presence and receipts arrive over WebSockets the moment they happen.
Moderation built in
Reports, a content filter, mutes and bans - with every action written to the audit log.
Limits you control
Group sizes, pins, attachment rules and a per-user send rate, enforced on the server for every app.
Roles and API keys
Team roles for the dashboard and a rotatable API key for your servers - never a shared password.
Session control
Force-logout, deactivate or remove access instantly - revoked sessions end everywhere.
Files and media
Photos, video and documents uploaded directly to storage with size and type rules per workspace.
Voice and video
Calls inside conversations, with controls you can hide or restyle.
Notifications
Push and in-app alerts so people come back to the conversation.
05Where to start
Not sure which one? Start from what you need.
“I want chat in my web app this week”
Install the Web SDK and render one component.
“I'm shipping on iOS and Android”
Use the Mobile SDK - it shares users and history with the web.
“I need my own UI or a backend integration”
Build on the REST API and WebSocket events with an API key.
“I run the community, not the code”
Moderate, analyse and set limits from the dashboard with your team.
06Questions
Good to know before you build.
Still wondering about something? The docs go deeper on every product.
Do all the products share one backend?
Yes. The web, mobile and desktop apps and your own servers all talk to the same RealTimeX workspace, so a message sent on a phone shows up on the web straight away.
Can I use my own design instead of the built-in UI?
Yes. Theme the Web SDK, override class names or replace individual components. For full control, build your own interface on the REST API and WebSocket events.
How do my servers authenticate?
With a workspace API key sent in the x-api-key header. The owner can create, rotate or revoke it from the dashboard at any time.
Who on my team can use the dashboard?
Invite people as admins, moderators or viewers. Each gets their own sign-in, and their role decides what they can see and do.
Can I limit what users are allowed to do?
Yes. Turn features on or off and set limits for groups, pins, attachments and how many messages a person can send per minute. The server enforces them for every app.
Is there a way to try it before integrating?
Open the live demo to use the full chat in your browser, then create a free workspace when you're ready.
